I dont know for deffinate mate, but I would guess they are wired out of the small plug on the ecu.
The boost is measured from the map sensor, which is wired from and to the ecu. I would be surprised if they looped the wires to the dash directly from the map sensor in case of a wiring problem causing a bad reading to the ecu.
Not sure but, stranger things have been seen lol.
