high idle

hello i have removed all the vac and solenoids above the coil pack witch are for the charcoal canister and tank ventilation. i have blanked the inlet mani parts aswell. i have no vac leaks and the idle adjustment screw on it lowest point. i have a cold idle of 2 and drops to around 1200 rpm when hot. still a little to high for my liking. only thing i could think of witch needs doing is the tps would this cause a high idle or am i missing something

not sure what you mean idle adjustment screw?

its defo some kind of a vac leak dude something hasnt been blanked off right and for it to be hitting 2 it must be fairly large id go back over everything dude because if it was fine before you touched it then its something you were at

the screw is basical the stop for the round bit that the throttle cable goes on to. and yeah well now its come down a bit to 1200 rpm when hot. and i can assure there is no vac leak, i no where every vac line on the mani is.

i was thinking more on the lines of the tps not reading that the throttle is closed. as the idle itself is solo controlled by the icv. i realy dont have any leaks but i will check non the less

im pretty sure the idle adjustment is on the throttle body itself on the top towards the back, normally has a little rubber cap in it that you take out and has a flathead screw inside that you turn?

if it was running fine before you touched it then its something you done, if you start messing with stuff without fixing the original problem your going to have more problems than when you started, if you didnt touch the screw or the tps then i wouldnt touch it

go back over everything that you did and also things you might have touched off in the area

all getting there now. this 4efe engine has taken a thrash over the last few days and every thing is holding up. well impressed with the power output aswell at such low boost. it does creep to 0.8 bar in 4th and 5th with the hks actuator but damn it pulls like a train. want to get her rollered to see what power she is putting down
