Another inspirational post. I looked inside my pfc fcon for the first time because of it.
It is the sameVersion 4 above but Toshiba chip says -
TC 57256AD-15
japan9241EAI
VPP12.5v
same as yours but has E304(sticker) on the chip (304 stamped on E has been hand written on )
The other difference I noticed is the code on the connection plug inside
says 92110413 the 110 may refer to the 3 plug ecu ? It came with a full ep91 harness
( TP19 ) so that seems possible but some one also has a sticker on the out side saying harness TP18304 which is the ep82 harness.

I bought some blank tc 57256ad-15 chips and flashed one with the e3112 image, plugged it into a mr2 PFC. Car started same on both on map 5 and revd fine up to 3/4k rpm. I haven't tested any further until I get the AFR connected.

Great work.
I haven't found a lot on the mr2 e3112 but one post says it is an upgrade but needs the GCC to control e3112 with a Starlet.
From what I read is the fcon chip is based around the injector size ( and stock pressure ) so depending on gen mr2 turbo injectors could be 440cc based ?

Ok. I see E304 chip listed on hks for ep82 and ep91 . The e3112 sounds special be interesting to hear your results once the afr gets sorted.

Nice work Rich, I'll check the other FCON and see if it's any different.

From what I remember the regular EP's used the E304 chip. The E3112 was used to support bigger turbos such as Blitz hybrids (Richie's basing his research on one such kit).
