How crap is this

I could of bought a forged engine with what i have spent on crap!

since blowing up my engine i've spent 1400 on crap a "new" engine and then money fixing it and other problems.

which is nearly enough for a forged engine, cuh!

just thought i'd post and say what you think is the cheapest option is not always the best.

:(

hard luck mate :(

i try to go by the motto - "Do it once, do it right"

generally if you go the cheap option, later on you will wanna go the better option anyway, if something doesnt break as well, adding even more cost.

Don't feel too bad mate, I spent £2000 on cutting out rust and getting a decent lick of paint.

...before modding even started (Well that's a lie but you know what I mean)

To get the most out of a forged engine you would have needed to spend £1400 on an ECU if you wanted things done properly. The costs would of kept coming so don't get yourself down over the choice you made.

thats true, but at least i would of been in the right direction lol.

now i just have a worse engine that before, that still dos'nt run properly lol.

lol yea i think i'll try and stick to the "do it once, do it right" thing from now on.

but i bet it was a lot better when it was back on the road than it was when it blew up :)

Aberdeenshire peeps are advised not to use Wallace Performance in Aberdeen :flame:

lol now thats worse, i'd be even more pissed off if someone else had buggered it up.

Yeah totally

If I blew it up, I would have said fair enough.

But when you put your car into a tuning workshop for mapping, you dont expect to the get the car back with a melted engine :shoot:
They wouldnt accept any blame either, didnt want nothing do to with it. That made even me more angry:flame:

well to make u all feel better, 4 years later iv been through 8 turbo setups & tried with 5 different ecu// piggyback setups till i finaly am where i am.. ie on my final setup (to be launched soon) lol which is a greddy turbo & greddy EMU

this will be my final setup on my glanza, im also adding all the bits i have needed & doing a full engine recon (ie seals, new bearings even though i changed these when i installed my ross pistons, new oil & water pump, new head) well the works really.. the bill to date (not including the stuff iv sold to recover some cash) is around 17~20grand..

starting to feel i should have imported a 2jz supra now lol... waaa meh modding eh...

Yeah Japerformance is done most of the work on my car. Mapped my ECU 3 times with 3 different set ups and everything has been OK ;)
