Ignition problem with GT

hi lads having a problem wit da ignition when i turn the key to the on possition the car trys to start her self and no dash lights, and when i turn da key to the place where you swing it to start the car it wont start da dash lights just come on like they should when the key is turned to on.

if anyone can understand wat im talking about :haha: plz help

First 4WD conversion loom I did for Trevor, the earth connection beside the passenger side headlight was not connected to the body. It all went fine until the rad fan switch switched, then as the current through the fan could not pass to earth at that point, it went along the other pathway from that earth lug, through the starter and to earth that way. It made the starter run when the engine was running and the key not turned.

Its not the same situation as you have but it shows that not connected earths can cause the starter to run with switching the key to that point.

Thanks lad problem fixed, i plugged da starter clip out and put it back in then wriggled da fuses and she all fixed nw ha
