yeah...it does to some degreethis takes away drivability IMO. I want to be able to drive spiritedly and not worry about breaking a gearbox. its always in the back of mind (i wonder how much more the box will take before it dies)
additionally, mamba, kinugawa, and a few other companies sell complete Subaru fitment ball bearing spec turbos---gt28/td05 specs, etc.I never knew that. Dyou have any links ?

Thanks man. I will have a look. So will that 2860 spool faster than my current TD04 but make more power than the vf28?You can find them on ebay. They are designed to be bolt on the Subarus so an improvement over the TD / VF.
They use a billet GTX style compressor wheel, so lightweight and modern design. Dual ceramic ball bearing. Can run higher boost.
2860 is the smallest then 63, 67, 71, 76.

Yea billit don't mean it's any more powerful just stronger, a common mistake folk make when talking about billit stuffThink the billet TD04s are a waste of time. Had mine rebuilt twice and it didn't make any more power than a stock TD04 did at around 1 bar. They still use old journal bearings.

Damn right. They’re never finished lolI'll let you know when its on! Won't be any time soon. Its a long process getting Starlets built up to a fair spec as I'm sure you know.
