is this right? EBC discs fitment? strange problem??

does the disc have this much play and movement becouse I can say when I had the OEM discs on there was ZERO play??
its like you can move the disc and the holes move from 2 cm to 2cm about the stud if that makes sense?
also when I put another wheel on I.E my brothers 15 rota wheel it doesnt sit flush against the disc there fore can not get the wheel on!! its wonky and does not fit flush at all to the hub...

my wheels fit fine but ever since I have fitted the ebc discs and pads getting a vibration in the wheel...

so EBC disc people is this normal???

i wouldnt worry about what ive seen in the vid.

not sure what you mean by the wheel not fitting flush?

I tried to put my brothers rota wheel on and the alloy wheel to the hub just wouldnt sit flush its like the wheel went on and sat wonky and the gap between the disc and the wheel was well out so the alloy wheel just did not sit flush at all!

its ever since put these discs on...

Think that's about right for the EBC disc. I haven't used them in years though. The Blueprint ones I fit nowadays have a bit of lateral movement too but once the wheel is on and torqued it's rarely an issue. You should still get the same movement in OEM discs but to a lesser degree.

Is the vibration only when the brakes are applied or all the time?

the rota wheels are off my brothers glanza same size wheel and tryre..

so the exact day I got the stuff fitted the exact same day the vibration arrived in the steering wheel doing around the 60mph speed...

so It cant be wheel ballance/allignment.. etc etc as it was all great

could be the caliper is sticking on one side as it is a effort to rotate the disc when in D and brakes are off on the passenger side?

Sounds really weird.. are you sure there isn't a spigot ring on the centrebore stopping the wheel from tightening up properly? (About the only thing I can think of!)

yes mate 100% there is no spigot ring only on the actual wheel going on the car... Ill take some pics tomorrow to show you what I mean... think going to fit my OEM disc to see if this solves the problem like said its all started when fitting these discs so its got to be them?

Process of elimination mate, sounds the easiest way to check. Let us know what you find!

say a brake caliper is sticking, can I take the caliper off but still attacted so its bled in with the brake fluid and put it in some fluid to release the caliper or ease them???

If it's the main piston that is sticking you could try winding it in and out a few times to free it up a bit. You don't need to disconnect the brake line to do this.

If the main piston is properly jammed you will need to remove it from the caliper housing. This will require the whole caliper disconnected and the piston removed for inspection. A light buff with some emery will remove light corrosion on the piston surface but if it's badly corroded you may need a fresh piston.

Before removing the piston you should have fresh seals on standby as they usually rip on removal.

right so this morning I took the both discs off and checked them 100%

cleaned the hub mating surface.
wound the piston in and out to make sure its free
took the discs off had a good check to make sure are ok
also put the oem disc back on and even the oem disc has that movment from the studs to the disc.. so that makes that kool
spun the wheel around making sure the brakes are not sticking and it moves freely
spigot rings are on

now if the vibration still exists am gonna cry also would be thinking it could be the alignment altho reading vibration has nothing to do with that getting mixed replys on that one...

when going straight thow my car pulls to the left a little

whats the centre bore of the wheel? are you using spigot rings?

could you have a buckled wheel?

iamlegend

Yes using spigot rings and defo not mate buckled a wheel as it would of come up when balanced wheels?? Also I haven't ran over anything to buckle the wheel and remember it lol

so I am runing out of ideas here like it's become a night mare!

Like said when had wheels new ago about 6 months it drove spot on and did till the day this brake set up went on..

not always. some tire fitters are retards. you can get them balanced right, but they could still have a flat spot on them.
jack the car up and spin the wheel, you will see any buckle if there is anything worth worrying about.

how are your wheel bearings?

could also be the tires. have you tried swapping the wheels front to back? my girlfriends car has an out of shape tire on it. causes a wobble on the front. swapped front to back and its cured it.

have jacked it up mate and it moves with out a wobble to my eye...
also tried that trick by putting the back wheels on the front and still the vibration in wheels...

wheel bearings I have not checked..dumbass question where are they? behind the hub?

also what is the sign of wheel bearings gone?? make a clicking noise etc etc etc

jack the car up and feel for play in the wheel. hold the top and the bottom of the wheel/tire and try and rock it.
