Right lads, have been meaning to do this since I finished the car last summer, I'm so lazy. I have only ever owned Starlets since I started driving, have had other cars but only drove starlets full time. Have been a member on here for a few years, alot of members know me from buying parts off me etc. Anyway, less chat lets move onto the build. When I was about 14/15 a fella in the local village had a canvas top starlet in red, it was the first I had ever seen and just fell in love with it and knew I would own one some day. It got burned out after. Than a woman in the village had one two, which was mad because they are rare. I offered to buy it but she would'nt sell. Couple months later was thrawling through the buy and sell, the exact one was for sale, went straight up and got it for around €1000, it needed a good bit of work. Have owned it for the best part of 2 years. Have had a few GT's and glanzas for breaking and bought a badly damaged '95 with most parts and transfered all over. Spent the best part of 6 months building the car and it near broke my heart.
This was my last car before I sold it, it was mint, should of had a thread on it but didn't take alot of pics when building, got it for €100 and had 3 engines in it, it was only a GI, great car.
Here's the canvas top at the start, I put advans on it interior.

Rear strut, not a straight bolt on job as I thought.

Finished!
Car has a few mods and plenty more plans for her, will be for sale soon enough though. '95 spec everything, has ABS and LSD. HKS silent hi power. Did have many obstacles during the build. Roof was ripped, so had to get re upholstered as they are dis continued by Toyota, I must have snagged heater rad when taking out dash, as it was leaking when I had it all back together, so had to take dash out again. First time I went to drive it back from work, stopped dead, though alternator was gone, replaced it, was only a fuse! Could'nt bleed brakes after, got them in the end though. Roof was the hardest thing I have ever taken apart and I'm a mechanic/panel beater.
Pleaser feel free to leave your comments,
Thanks, Jason.
