you have to take into account we are euros over here so add a few hundred onto that! iv added it up before with all new parts and id want 2k euros, maybe less maybe more and thats the labour myself.. theres no hope in hell you can build a forged engine with new parts done properly for 1 k euro mate

I only just did head gasket with 1.4mm anthena gasket water pump can belt etc on Saturday so that should be ok just bottom end but think just going to try find a engine or bottom end now and go careful and build 1.5 forged engine gradually.

If a rod has come through the block then you will need another bottom end mate thats non repairable, if you want to go for big power then forge it mate, depending on how good you are with mechanics you could do it yourself, if not i think td stage 1 is about 2k drive in drive out, obv there is stages 2 and 3 etc depends how much power you want, tbh i think most popular is stage 2 ! Keep us updated what you decide to do!

i know it non repairable think just going to build another standard engine just to get back on the road and build a forged 5E engine bit by bit as i cant afford 2k out right would take couple of months to save that.

So if any one knows of bottom end or full engine please get in touch asap.

Well can decide to build 4E or 5E when it comes to it thanks for advice :) but just need to build mine again for min I need to be on the road.

Who says u have to buy new forged rods and pistons and i no the bore and deck is not going to cost me 500, when u are cute an no a few handy people the costs keep coming down, i would be embarrassed to tell u how much it cost me to do my td04 conversion.

I'm sure there is loads of second hand forged pistons and rods lying around for sale.. New genuine head gasket kit, a proper steel head gasket, bearings, genuine engine seal kit, new oil pump, new water pump, timing belt kit, block chemically cleaned, decked, rebored, head skimmed, three angle valve grind, new dizzy, new rotor arm, new leads, new plugs, get it all balanced list goes on if you want it done right and that not even including the rods and pistons.
