how do i check the solenoid mate?
just bought a glanza need help

Yep glanza's have reduced boost in 1st n 2nd, as fairys mainly drive them.

hahaha ! now now stuart, we all know they have to have reduced boost in 1st and 2nd because they'd be too quick otherwise ! lol

It is strange that i get full boost on first and second, and i know my car isnt de-restricted, not that i am complaining tho.

No it just mean's out of the selected fairy's you may not be a true one, you might be a pansy...:haha:

that is after mod mate, obv, should look opposite, the green should connect the other side when normal.

oh thats a good one to think about...
If the actuator is worn or buggered it wont give you that much boost...

could be fuel cut then mate,
do you have a aftermarket boost gauge?
not so sure on the actuator tho,
only thing i can suggest is too reverse the solenoid, and then check mate.

i dont have a boost gauge had the car only 1 week going to get a gauge 2moro hopefuly, i will reverse the solenoid and see what happends cheers

just to clarify, kyles car has the 1st, 2nd gear thingy bypassed so it should run high boost in 1st & 2nd. Definatly seems like a boost problem, im thinking the actuator is playing up, boosting a bit but not fully. Also we've tried pressing the hi/lo button, the light comes on & off but makes no difference to the boost. Need to get a proper boost gauge on it really to see what its boosting at.
