just fitted decat but whats this??

anyone who has fitted a decat.. on the top (20mmbolt) is the lamba sensor.. but whats the other part sticking out of the bottom of the catylic converter? it has another wire that runs into the same loom??

ive got a 96 glanza 4efte if thats helps???

It'll be the temperature sensor for the cat. It's not needed, so you can unplug and remove it.

this is the stock toyota EGT probe. just unplug it mate, it does totally nothing!

EPC lists a EGT sensor for a 01/1996 - 08/1997 EP91 V, but I've never seen one to know if it's located at the bottom of the cat though.

I've only seen a 98 version and theres just the single sensor at the top of it. hence the creative use of a spark plug in this blitz decat..

There was one on mine, must be just be the 98> that don't have them.

There definitely is one on the 96 Glanza, couldn't comment on the later model. Doesn't do squat.

mine had one i removed it and put a spark plug in its place to seal the hole

heres a 1996 glanza stock cat with temp sensor.. not needed with decat..a spark plug will replace it for u or just put back in the sensor.(not connected)

there was 1 on my 97 glanza but my decat never had a hole for it lol
