Just what I needed after Christmas

If anybody is interested I thought I'd just give a quick update on this.

I picked the car up yesterday and it cost me a grand total of £950 for the gearbox rebuild and fitting etc.

If anybody is thinking of getting rid of their EP and getting something like an Evo then please take things like this into account before you make your decision.

I was prepared for much higher running costs but things like this can't really be forseen and a few weeks after getting the car I had to replace the clutch at £1280 so I'm not even a year ito ownership and already I've had to spend over £2000 on essential repairs.

Now I have to replace or rebuild my EXE-TC coilovers and one of them has gone, that's going to be another grand now.

I'm just waiting for the AYC to go or for me to push a rod through the block or something now.

Exactly why I don't drive an Evo.

Buying the car is no problem, running, maintaining and repair costs are a different matter!

Glad you got it sorted.

Exactly why I sold my Scoobie and then my Mr2 to expensive.

Why do people always sell their Gt's for bigger cars and then wish they had never.

Big cars = Big prices and people complain about Gt's being unreliable and expensive:(

Eeeek not good Rick :(

I love my mates evo9 its so gorgeous but if i could afford to buy one in the first place i couldnt afford to run one! I kindly pointed out to him his tax is due next month thats £400.

Thing is when you finished repairing bits like your doing you dont wanna sell coz you think/hope its all over now.

Im looking at 17mpg with a vr4 which is the worst thing about it, but looking at parts tax and insurance seems to make up for the fuel bit. I hope

Yeah I know it, I'm hoping it's going to stop crippling me after the suspension is sorted, especially as baby is due in June.
