Hi,

Quick question regarding K24's. What sort of experience do people have with them? Power will they make? responce? Any dyno charts?

Thanks
Gord

well, ive driven a k24 GT boosting to 0.8 and its fairly good, very good responce and an overall great turbo for a tight track-or uphill.

its slightly bigger that a hybrid Ct9 and has full boost at around 3k rpm on a stock 4E

hope that helps Gord

Thanks for the info. Im trying to find something with responce for my sprint/hillclimbing but then Im away wanting decent power.

My worry is a K24 wont give enough power.

i've been running 0.64 on my k24 for a full year now and its pretty dam good, even at that boost level its amzing how it responds, i havnt even botherd whacking the boost up lol, also there are differnt types of k24's depends which one you would look at, i have the blitz k24, theres other like the sard ones,

i'm using a ct9 manifold too so i'm pretty sure i'm not getting full power because of the runners

overall its awesome, maybe someone who's running close or over a bar will give you more insight :)

Cheers fella.

I would be running it on my Blitz manifold so that should be well suited and id be winding the boost up.

I have a power graph somewhere of the old famous JAM GT running the K24 setup. It had iirc 220bhp with 260ftlbs, somewhere about that region.

i have a k24/26 setup on my car. it make 204 bhp and 211 ft/bl of torque at 1.2 bar last year, full boost was about 3750-4000 rpm on a dyno dynamics roller.

here is graph.

Bringing this old thread to life trying to understand why the Kelly and Bens Dyno graphs are so different and whether it is due to the ex. housing sizes they had.

I realise I'm testing memorys here but does anyone know which Exhaust housings each of these K24's were using from the available housings 3.14 , 4.14 & 5.14 ?

Thanks Mark.

Comparing the above 3 Blitz K24 turbo graphs one at 201.4 one , 217hp ( 220ps ) and one at 225.3hp

Mark I see your power & torque ( 1.11 bar IT19C ) is higher than Kelly's up to 3400 rpm and better than Bens up to 4750 rpm with your spool around 3000 vs Kellys spool 3200rpm ( 1bar? IT November Temp ) and Ben's spool at 4300rpm ( ? bar IT 20C ).

Interestingly the torque strongly drops for you Mark below 180ftlb at around 5600 rpm when your fueling leans a little ; for Kelly torque drops below 180ftlb at 6400 rpm and Ben is holding 180ftlb to 6500rpm. Peak Powers are different but occur at similar revs Mark at 6350rpm , Kelly at 6418 rpm and Ben at 6300 rpm.
