kp61 turbo

well lads, used to have a gt 2 years ago , 158bhp and veilside kit, was class yok, anyway have a kp61 now. totally standard but have a trd n2 archkit got and a t50 box from ae corolla, sick of looking at 4age engine conversions although they are good and was thinking of fitting a 4e from a gt turbo. never heard of this conversion before, does anybody know if it fits the t50 box???

i wouldn't mind knowing this aswell... i tried finding info on it but no ones tried it! Ive got both a kp61 and the 4e-fte sitting around at home... goodluck on yours!

This has been done already by one of the lads in OZ. You will need to modify a AE86 bellhousing to mate with the 4E. You may need also to fit a pilot bearing in the crank for alignment with the clutch shaft.

theres a kp in nz with a 4efte as well. your better off doing the 4age conversion tho. 4efte more effort for no gain over 4age. 4age having same power but n/a. and easy to go turbo if you want more.

thanx 4da ifo lads, would just be cool having a rwd starlet turbo and i kno more bout da 4e than the 4a, found info bout a 7age wher they get a 1.8 7a engine and fit the 4age head!! might be another idea!!

Mid mount the 4efte in the KP!!!!!!!!

Then you could use the box and shafts as well.
