Right guys I replaced my stat other week and it leaked fisrt time but I'd crushed the seal on tightening.. So re did it and it's fine but today I changed the coolant sensor and got to work and saw some drops of coolant dropping on the gearbox... All I did was change the sensor but obv when take the sensor out it will let coolant out but I didn't clear it after I replaced it so I'm hoping it's just coolant residue.. It has a few drops when you pull up after a long drive but stops I mean literally a couple so I'm not sure.. Gauge and heaters all good.. How long will coolant stay in the housing after a good drive just if it stops after 5 mins I'm not sure if it's even that..

just take a piece of cloth and wipe it off. then check. if its actually leaking, then check hose clamps for loose connection. theres a heater hose that plugs to the thermostat housing. mine got loose once while doing some work in that area and had water drops on the gbox housing after a drive.
