loud clutch

The rubber grommet on the outside would stop it from rattling, and when you fit the fork to the release bearing its fairly tight,no room for rattle as such.

this is very true, something would have to be wrong for it to rattle. even when they have no grease on them and they squeak when you push the pedal in they dont rattle.

Lovely thanks for confirming this chaps. Its going back in tonight to have the box taken off and to see if they can spot anything wrong and if not sending back for another clutch. Thanks for the replys though.

Just the guy at toyota said when they where released from the factory it was a common problem they encountered and was something to do with the fork and they had to replace it.

I'm running their 0620 clutch kit on my gt with a 5e, and I dont have ANY abnormal noises. I really love the clutch. I've been running it for about a year now as it was the same one I was running in my paseo with the 5efte in it. hopefully you can get this sorted and enjoy tthe clutch.

Well the box came off today and one of the springs in the clutch itself is loose so its getting sent back and a new one sent out.

Will see how I get on with that.

Thanks for the help chaps.

eh mate, go with the unsprung version, its not very harsh, just takes some getting used to, and there's nothing to break on it either. just my opinion of course.
