hi guys and girls ive tried searching for it but nothing seems to be set in stone,ive read a few different threads about spinning wheels to see if you have got a lsd etc...and ive also read that it should state some how on your vin plate??is there anybody on this forum that knows what to look for on the vin plate??is there a certain number/letter to look out for on the plate on the ep82's??many thanks:beer:

yes there is two letters. "a" or "b"."a" has no standard diff in the car and "b" means the car has standard lsd in the gearbox.look at the back firewall to see this.its the last letter after the trans/axel code your looking for

Mate I am not sure that is right, I think the non lsd Toyota box is listed as a C52 and the lsd box is a C56, that is what is printed on the vin plate.
I might be wrong there but that rings a bell from looking for an lsd box in the past.
That does not mean there is that box in it but, it may have been removed or changed at some time or other.

look at the chassis plate where it says trans/axle if it says 522 non lsd 523 lsd

i know its A and B has i have had both and one was a LSD and the other wasnt
