LSD knocking sound

Have an oem lsd box in my Glanza. Being noticing a knocking noise lately while driving, while turning but also in a straightline sometimes. I thought CV joints at first but I dont think its that now, its not the same sort of sound.

Had the car on the lift and when moving the wheels back and forward by hand it was making the noise, coming from the lsd. Im guessing its not nornal anyway.

What would be the cause? Bearings in the diff?

My Quaife makes a similar sounds but it's totally fine :/

Are you sure it's not your downpipe hitting your brace ? Or possibly your swaybar hitting your cat/front pipe ?

I had a similar knocking sound which I had assumed was from the diff, but as soon as I took my front swaybar off the knocking sound went away.

The sound from a knocking cv joint will travel up the shaft and be amplified in the gearbox casing, making you think the problem is in there. You could split the drive shafts so only the inner cups are in the box, then turn the cups and see if the noise still comes from the box.
