Volvo S40 1.9 turbo diesel 2001

Timing belt has snapped on car, looking for price to get it running again.
Not sure if anyone is interested
Need this done asap

I got mine replaced by Toyota in 2007. It cost 140 Euro including labour and belt. Not get much cheaper than that. Mc Cabes Toyota is in the Louth area.

but the belt has actually snapped, does this mean HG replacement? or would a replacement belt and pulleys get it running perfect?

If its a non-interference engine it will need the belt replaced. BUT it is rare to see diesel non-interference engines. I would imagine replacing your engine will be the cheapest option.
Pistons / valves would be in jeperty

That's the feedback that i have been getting, That a new engine is the best/most easy option.
