My lack in boost pressure?

rory what was the bit of blue smoke initially for a couple of minutes when it first happened though??

only happened a bit when i let off the throttle?

PS the noise was like a whistling noise from the turbo like it has always made....

Unburnt fuel going through, by the sounds of it.

Try every join in your cooler pipeing and all vacume hosing, there will be a leak somewhere.
By the sounds of it, your turbo is fine, the black stuff on the inlet, im unsure about though.
Seems to me, when you were giving it some, a vacume or joiner has split under preasure, giving you an instant loss in boost.

Keep things simple, dont run before you can walk. IE: try the simple things first stc stc.

i let you all know what i find...

once again thanks a bunch for all your time guys, especially how irritating this is.... great help.

That turbo looks fine. /

Well no shaft play (as Dan said), no oil everywhere (as from the pics), no oil out of exhaust. That doesn't indicate a blown turbo at all.

I've blown a turbo myself (GT28RS) and the shaft play was rediculous after.

But i might be wrong who knows. You try and fix the easiest things first (boost leaks).

yes, but somtimes you cant acutallly see the damage first, could all look fine when it isnt, and also as he said he had already checked for boost leaks

i will check all the joiners for the boost leak as blowing from one end to the other could be what timmy mentioned, only when it tries to come on boost the split will open up as me blowing doesnt cause enough pressure.....

Also not sure how normal this is either but there are little black bits on the OUTLET side of the intercoller.. like little rubbery bits... could be soot particles as well....? But its not in the inlet side at all.....

Hmm I had all the black deposits on my compressor on my old turbo but that was because the breather is connected to the intake post turbo.

Are you using a foam filter? It looks like dirt, I would say it's pretty normal.

yeh using a HKS filter... and all the inside of the pipes are dirty too.... must be a shit "filter" then.... HKS my arse.....

Just dirt, wash it in warm water gently and spray some filter oil on it when it's dry. Foam filters aren't the best for daily driving, I have one on my GTti.

yeah i will do.....

right ive checked every single boost pipe and i have found a few grazes in a couple of the silcon joiners BUT definitely not piercing through the other side... there are no leaks!!

yuup....

i actually took each individual hose off and put under a very bright light and inspected thoroughly... pulling them back and seeing if there was any cracks/brakes.... ???
