Nice case, Don't see why it wouldnt be as ATX is pretty standard through out most pc's only ones that aint that ive come across is the Gaming cubes such as the Micro ATX.

Should be quiet a nice system, only thing I've no expeirance with is that GFX card but other than that looks to be a good system!

Hey,

I read reviews on the card and it seems decent for what ever I may choose to do. I'm not that much of a PC gamer but wanted something decent for when I decide to play about so it should be fine :)

In relation to overcloking, I have never done it or know much about it! Will have to read up, but thats nice to know. I'll look into it!

best to read up about overclocking befor doing it like u said

always use bios features dont use progs that come with your motherboard or GFX card

Cheers guys.

Any tips?

when you handle your parts befor you put them into your case you can build them up with static and then causes it to pop and stop working thats the parts will come in anti static bags (silver thick bags)

is this going to be your first build?

Not my first build, did a few years ago though. Never did anything special, just took them out the bags and popped them in the motherboard LOL

Thanks for the screen shot, bit more than I want to spend though.

Here is my new spec so far:

ASUS M4A78-VM 780G Socket AM2+ HDMI DVI VGA 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard - £50

AMD Phenom X2 550 Black Edition 3.1GHz 6MB L3 Chche Socket AM3 Retail Boxed Processor - £75

ASUS HD 4850 512MB DDR3 Dual DVI HDCP HDTV out PCI-E Graphics Card - £80

Crucial 4GB (2X2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Ballistix Memory CL4 2.0V - £45

Seagate 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM - £64.00

LG GH22NS50 22x DVD±RW DL & Ram SATA Black Retail Kit with Software - £18

Corsair 650W TX Series PSU - 120mm Fan, 80+% Efficiency, Single +12V Rail - £71

Cooler Master Elite 341 PC Tower Case - £26

Total = £429

I have been advised that I can buy a 1TB drive and have 2 partitions. One for all my programs and running of games etc and the larger part for storage.

However, can you advise on how much I should have as my main partition C: which will have Windows 7 on it and will need to handle all of the games etc?

I want it to ruin smoothly and nothing to clog it up.

Thanks.
