Negative Feedback for An Post!!

I sent an item to a customer in Co.Cork Ireland from the local Post Office. They told me he will recieve it next day.
Few days past and he never recieved it. Luckily, at the time I sent it I asked for it to be tracked and traced.
I tracked it last night and it had said:

DESTINATION LOCATION: HEATHROW LONDON
ITEM RECIEVED.

WTF!!

How can they get it mixed up and actually deliver it in London when it clearly has a large sticker on it with a Co. Cork address.
I phoned them today and they said they will be taken it back tonight.

I think they deserve negative feedback. I also think WESGT is a postman so he may be getting negatively reppped:haha:

What pisses me off even more is the fact that these stupid clowns were out on strike on Tuesday looking for money for themselves:eek:

My fathers a post man and nobody was on strike in Sligo or pretty much any other post office for that matter they actually do work for their money unlike alot of public service workers hes starts at half five in the morning and finishes at three walking round it the shite weather delivering mail. There not looking for money either so get your facts straight. A parcel went to the wrong place boo fucken whoo stuff like this happens track and trace is there for a reason. Build a brigde and get over it.

an post aren't the most efficient , everything goes via heathrow these days, now they've reduced the number of dublin to cork flights.... dublin-> heathrow -> cork means a quicker and safer service.

:p

Calm down rofl I'm perfectly chilled believe me. I just dont appreciate shite talk like that calling the likes of my father and many many others who bust their bollocks everyday being called clowns because someone had a parcel go on a detour. Do you realise how busy they are this time of the year? Two sides to every story lads.;)

Ive sent loads of stuff back from the states to Ireland and on a couple of occasions the people in the US post office have said "oh Ireland.. should be there in no time". When I asked them why they said that Ireland has one of the fastest and most reliable local delivery services once the parcel gets on to Irish soil. Sure enough nothing I have sent has ever gone missing and it arrives VERY quickly.

I suppose you have to expect a hiccup every now and then though.

My gf sent a birthday present to her friend in Dubai and it arrived 8 months later!!

EDIT: I also detect a little sarcasm in Aidan's first post :) he is just sharing an experience and having a bit of fun with it.

Yip cousin got a pair of oakley's from the states last week had them in 4 days but I supose you'll always hear the bad rather than good in this country. The thread does'nt bother me its just the last sentence in it is bollocks imo thats all lol.

not having a go, but just wondering, did they say why how or why it ended up in london?

have to say, i acutally like an post.

my postman is a legend(awkward place for delivery, saves me hassle) and at halloween, my costume arrived in ireland the day before (friday) and they allow me pick it up from a distribution centre behind redcow a few hours later at 7pm. done me a massive favour there as i wouldnt not have got it untill monday, maybe tuesday

No, there was an ignorant bitch on the phone and she just said she doesn't know why:p

Anyway,:holdit: of course I never posted this thread up to offend anybody's father.
My intentions been a harmless rant:cool:

Its not just postman who burst their bollocks off in their jobs and they still get grief. Its not just postman who are busy this time year either.

I think you have taken this a little to heart. The post had nothing to do with your father??

it never really did have as aidan was saying about the "clowns" were on strike. If your dad didint strike then he is not part of any what aidan sayed.

About the working hard part, it sortof looked obv i see not now but that was being used as a sort of excuse. it also looked like you were saying that there the only ones who put a shift in and get grief. :)
