New forged engine, But wont get boost,!

Hi,

I have build my new forged engine, With the Td04 zisco turbo kit from dave,
But the problem is, i wont get any boost, i know i need to running the engine in, But when i try, not rev hard, its just 0,1 bar at 3500-4000 rpm
its now driving like a now turbo,
I got the also a new Wepr td04 fmic, and check all the silicone, for leaks twice, But cant find anything, the waste gate has dave also Weld, and i check twice the external waste gate, but i dont hear it leaking or screaming when driving so dont leaking also i think, When i took the Airfilter off and look at the turbine wheel, when the engine Idle i can see it moving, so thats good,
i hope u guys can help, me i really dont like this problem,

if the wastegate is the wrong way round it would most likely over boost as the exhaust pressure in the chamber would be pushing the valve closed.

sounds like a boost leak. check all pipes, joiners, and intercooler for leaks.

does it idle high, or ruff? could have a big vac leak from the inlet manifold or a hose from it.
and there is definitely no exhaust leaks?

yea the waste gate is on the right way, and i dont here it "screaming"
So thats ok i think. And intercooler pipe's yea i can check it again,
its a werp kit with good hoses, fit on the right way,
i also will check agian for exhaust leaks, i dont found or hear it jet.

and all the parts are from dave td04 turbo kit.

i haven't found the problem yet, after a lot of test drive's and looking:mad:
at idle the turbo isnt rotate, only when give some trotthle, i thougt it was wrong,?

no if left idle the turbo might stop spinning nothing wrong with that what i would do is gett the car cold ,hold the turbo impeller with hand and get someone to start the car then rev it slowly asn see if it feels resisting , if not could have shaft problem you can also take off the pipe that goes to the intercooler and rev the engine and see if you feel the turbo blowing mate

have you made sure your e/wastegate is plumbed in correct?

run a vacumn pipe from the compressor side of the turbo to the side port of the wastegate and see how it goes

yea the waste gate vac line's are 100% on the right way.
I dont hear it sceaming while test drive, so it wont will leak?
When i get my hand at the back of the exaust, i found no leaks on the exhaust system,
When i give some trotthle i dont feel it blow very hard, just a little,
when intercooler pipe are off the turbo, just blow a little while revving.
the td04 has been rotated, maybe there is something wrong?
or the intern waste gate has been weld, maybe its there leaking,?
its a very strange problem, i had it once at 0,1 bar very hard , now it even make boost,
It make a strange like ghost sound,? when i give some hard trotthle in secound Gear, turbo sounds strange
I also found shaft play on the turbine wheel, Horizon, Axial all ways?
Is that normal on a brand new turbo?
The oil pressur to turbo seems to be right,
i check the retour back to sump and thats enough pressur.
i hope i will found this problem soon,

hmm gow come a td04 wont spin on idle???

maybe was fucked while being rotated? blades look fine?

i found the problem,
The intern waste gate has weld wrong,
And weld when it not was close it was like 2 mm open all the time,
So constantly leaking the waste gate has damaged by that issue :mad:
also the turbo isnt good the Turbine blades intake side are damaged,
I think fabrication fault in the new td04 turbo,
to much axial and all way around shaft play, so it was hit the intake housing.
Monday i send the turbo back to dave and he will do his best to make it:).as warrenty.
A new exhaust housing, i dont want it weld agian it will crack,
i make a strut brace system as the orginal actuator, 6 mm treath.
But im not happy now i need to wait, to drive.
i dont have lucky with this project
