hi ive got a oil catch can fitted and 2 weeks ago i put my boost up to 1 bar with all the right supporting mods. Just the other day i noticed that the oil in the catch can was really gloopy and sort of white and i only had a full service done 2 weeks ago at the same time of uping the boost. Is this normal or does anyone no what the problem might be? cheers

dude if its onlt the oil in the catch can thats gloopy then it doesnt have to be your headgasket as moisture can get in to the catch can and turn it milky that way,

have a check under your oil filler cap and on your dipstick to see if its milky, if it is then that would be more suggestive of a head gasket failure, also check your water levels

cheers for that ed just checked and everything looks ok thank god. must just be moisture getting in. hows your car doin now m8?

i had the same problem with a catch tank. took it off, oil was cumin out the rocker breather, wee bit of water got inot the catch tank coz of where the exit hose was sittin in a bad place. went thru a puddle u see. lol. still oil comes from the breather. ive been told its piston rings. mite be a headgasket in your case. whats your fuel pressure at?

Does your car sound as if its breathing heavy? If oils coming out the rockercover breather then it probably is breathing heavy and the rings could be shot indeed mate

if you get a compression test and it shows fine then you could have the same problem as me mate. been told its ringlands on the pistons and my catch can looks like this...

but im not loosing to much oil. i do about 300 miles a week and its still near full so yours could be piston rings. sumone with more knowledge will help more .

think if the compressions shot it can cause overfueling. mine is overfueling aswell. backfires more than usual aswell
