optional extra footwell and ignition lights not working, what could be the cause?

As said above my OE footwell and ignition barrel lights don't work, they've never worked since I've had the car but I would like to get them going. What's the main causes for these not working? Any help appreciated

did you check if theres power at the bulbs if not could be a fuse or broken wire

either a fuse or there is an earth behind thefront plastic part on the drivers side footwell that helps keep the plastic sill cover down
