Original tachometer does not operate properly poiting max to 2000 rpm

1 - tachometer stopped working normally, does not read correctly and mark from 1500 to 2000 rpm when it should be higher

2 - regardless of problem with the tach up the car properly and do not have any fault

3- no check engine (work normal)

sounds like the clocks are faulty.

the tacho gets its signal from the ecu, so if everything else is fine, then it must be the clocks

might be worth splitting the clocks and moving the needle by hand to see if its sticking? don't pull the needle off or move it too far ie below 0 past 8k as or it will definitely be out lol

take the clear plastic casing off the cluster and spin the rpm gauge round to 7k then let go and see if it fluctuating in speed or getting stuck on the way back down. might be a little dirt or somehting
