Painting my block...

Ive been working on my block, getting the rust away, as its been sitting in my garage for a while, and i'm looking to paint it black. What kind of paint will i need to buy and use?

If i was to spray it would slowly fade off the block with the dirt??

i had in mind Hammerite black so the colour lasts??

hammerite black and brush it on as its easier.

i did the same on mine and it has been fine so far!

just get the worst of the rusty bits off with a wire brush, clean the block with degreaser and then paint the hammerite on. i just went for 1 full coat and then when dry went over and touched in any bits i missed.

get it to the machine shop to be acid washed and then paint it with any colour hammerite - you like give it 2 or 3 coats letting it dry for overnight preferebly each time or a good few hours in somewhere warmish
