What are you guys using? I'm looking for a new one and its basically a choice between the Samsung SM-226BW or the BenQ E2400HD. I can't find the benq anywhere in stock as i dont think its due til end of month but it looks like the better choice. Just seeing what everyone recommends! I'll be playing older games still as well as new ones like crysis, far cry 2 etc. so one that can still handle the old games will be handy :) Will also be used for internet and porn. or maybe just internet and films. Use this one for the rude stuff.

Any reputable name with a good refresh rate should be fine for games and movies. I really don't think theres any need to go over £120 unless your going for something really spectacular.

I want it around 2ms g-g an don't want any noticeable input lag. I think the samsung is 5ms and the benq is 2ms but i don't think there will be much difference. The samsung is about 180 for 22'' and the benq is around £230 for the 24'' which aint a major price leap, i think they do the 22'' model for £150 or under!

I see people paying over 500 quid for monitors but thats just stupid, i think around £200 is a good price :)

I did manage to find a 70'' lcd screen for 12k on my search though hahah then a 150'' one with a guy playing GT:p and COD4 :| mental.

Ah fair enough! I thought you meant about a 17" Monitor. Spend much more than what I said!! lol My brother got a 37" TV from www.aria.co.uk (it's a TECO) it's HD and can be used as a monitor etc... Only cost about £400 and It's sound. Plays games on it and everything.

I've got the Dell TrueColour E248WFP 24" which is pretty reasonable.

It's very bright!

i just bought this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...SM-T220 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Rose Red
they had £40 cashback deal going to. cracking monitor, i realy rate the samsungs. response time is 2ms and 20.000:1 contrast ratio. they do a hd model but it's more expensive and the contrast ratio is much better on that one.

I've been looking at this, argos do the HD one for £200! But none instock :( I've been to scan today to check some out but not really found many to look at as they only used the same ones for the game rigs. I like the look of the T240 screen but thats around £300 :(

I'm still really tempted by the BenQ as that seems best bang for buck, if only they were in stock at places! I think i'll end up getting a samsung though if they aren't out by the time i've built my new rig. I might just settle for a 22'' in the end as they seem big enough after seeing some today in action.

For the PS3 I'm using one of the newish Samsungs (the ones with the red edges) and it's a 40". Real nice performance.

The PC has a 23" Beko cheapo widescreen from Currys. I might need glasses soon..

Well hopefully argos will get the samsungs back in stock, i've clicked it to email when they do, not in a rush as im waiting for some more bits before i start building, £200 is a bargain for the HD :)
