Yo, Thought i'd share this for any fellow young starlet owners/prospective buyers...After previously checking comparison sites for quotes on my GT and getting quotes back of anything from 4-7000 I thought I was doomed after finding out my starlet had some how been insured as a 1331cc corolla?!?!?! So last night I spent about 5 hours getting and tweeking quotes, and in the end managed to get her insured for 1,509£ fully comp (£0 excess, car worth 4k, 10,000 miles a year, courtesy car and windscreen cover!) from a site called mycheapcarinsurance (policy from Flux direct, incidently the best quote I got from calling flux direct directly was £2,200). I know this may sound like alot of money to some of you 'more life experienced guys' but considering I am 20 with no NCB after 2 years of driving legally (never had a crash or claim though...) and am paying 1,200 to insure my snail like pug partner van I was pretty chuffed with this, some of my mates are paying a hell of a lot more for there VTR/S's , Astras, 306's etc which frankly aren't even on the same playing field! So yeh, worth a check for sure for anyone considering a starlet and proof that brain numbing trawling of the internet pays off!

Kris,

the best insurers for these types of car are usually the specialist brokers, you wont find us on price comparison sites.

Have you given my company a try? We are usually competitive for Startlets and Glanzas and we should be able to work with you claim free driving experience.

Thanks
