perspex windows

when my gt's back on the road im planning on fitting perspex window's on the sllaaagggg!...has anyone done this or can shed somelight on the subject on the best way to fit them, im think im going to buy perspex sheets from a hardware store and diy it...

With flat sheets you'll find it difficult to cruve them in the right shape, you'd also have to rivet or fix them in place which would fail an MOT.

I have some that were made for approx £170 all around (excluding windscreen), they are theromformed to be the same shape and curve as the original, and fit in exactly the same way. Also include the borders so you wouldn't even know.

They are UV grades of perspex to avoid the yellowing.

If you click on my members garage the white car has them, you can hardly tell by the images. But it saved around 20-25KG of weight too, reduced centre of gravity is the main benefit.
 
I would rather have the electric windows tbh, much easier than a slider especially when you trying to order food in the drive thru at mcdonalds lol
