Rav 4 E-Brake warning light showing up (Handbrake released)

it's a 09 Rav-4 and just landed from jp, even after releasing the handbrake still the warning light is on and beeps.

What could be the problem here?

Low brake fluid level?

Possibly the little sensor at the handbrake is faulty.
If you can get the handbrake cover off there should be a switch. Make sure it's moving in and out freely and maybe a bit of wd40 into it.
I've seen it on a few cars but not sure if urs would be the same.
Just my thought
