I decided too make a thread with a step by step guide regarding the removal, and the fitment off indiglow dials.

1.) Tools you require are as follows,

[/IMG]

10mm quarter drive socket & ratchet
phillips screwdriver, both long an dumpy
6mm allen key (depending on what steering wheel you have)
snippers
solder iron + solder
couple cable ties.

2.) Start by removing the 6 allen key bolts out of the centre off the steering wheel as follows.

[/IMG]

Once removed it should look something like this ,

17072010228.jpg
[/IMG]

3.) Now you need too remove the 2 phillips screw that are located on the top off the dial surround.

17072010229.jpg
[/IMG]

[/IMG]

You will need too disconnect the harness for the electric mirrors, which is located on the rear off the dial surround as shown here,

17072010232.jpg
[/IMG]

And this is what it should look like after cafefully removing it, bare in mind you should have the steering wheel boss as low as possible.

17072010231.jpg
[/IMG]

4.)Now you have too remove these too phillips screws too remove the clear plastic over the front of the dials,

17072010233.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010234.jpg
[/IMG]

5.) Right next is too remove the 3 phillips screws that hold the dials in place which are here,

1 at the top

17072010237.jpg
[/IMG]

And 2 at the bottom

17072010235.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010236.jpg
[/IMG]

6.)Now you need too pull dials toward you, being careful as there are still harnesses connected too the back on the dials. i found if you turb them too the right, you can remove the main harness an speedo cable.

17072010238.jpg
[/IMG]

Leaving just 2 more harnesses on the opposite side which are easily removable now as shown.

17072010239.jpg
[/IMG]

7.)dials completly removed

17072010240.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010241.jpg
[/IMG]

8.)Now you need too undo thse 2 screws too remove the console which goes around the steering wheel boss, as shown.

17072010242.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010243.jpg
[/IMG]

And now just one more screw which is now visible.

17072010245.jpg
[/IMG]

9.)just behind the boss, you will find a couple harnness for the indicator stalks, the one on the right hand side is the one you will need as this is for your lights etc. This is where i will be wiring in my live wire.

17072010246.jpg
[/IMG]

10.)Next step is too give the prigional dials a clean up, do not remove the needles tho, as i found out they do not sit right when putting them back on. Reason for cleaning is so double side tape sticks nicely.

17072010247.jpg
[/IMG]

11.) Now remove the 4 bulbs on the back of the dial cluster an remove the green rubbers which are over the bulbs. just too keep it colour with the new dials.

17072010249.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010250.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010251.jpg
[/IMG]

12.) Now for the fiiting of the new dials. Get yourself some double sided tape, an appy too Rear of the new dial , line it up an press i on as shown.

17072010252.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010253.jpg
[/IMG]

Now repeat this for each of the dial faces. When finished it should look somethink like this...

17072010254.jpg
[/IMG]

13.)Now start rebuilding the dial cluster, starting with the black plastic cover..

17072010255.jpg
[/IMG]

And attach using phillips screws you removed earlier ..

17072010256.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010257.jpg
[/IMG]

14.) Ok a lesson too be learned for myself, if your clear plastic cover has a crack in it, be extremely carefull as its very fragile an brittle .... as i found out

17072010258.jpg
[/IMG]

15.) Now for the wiring side of things. i started put placing the main unit for dials just too the right off where the dials would sit. I cable tied the brightness switch too one off the main harness looms, an then had it coming out off the fuse cover underneath the steering wheel....

17072010260.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010259.jpg
[/IMG]

16.) I have chosen this earthing point too wire in my earth cable for the dial unit, it is located just behind where the dial cluster would sit.

17072010261.jpg
[/IMG]

17072010263.jpg
[/IMG]

17.) As for the live wire, i have soldered it into the side light switch wire as shown...

17072010262.jpg
[/IMG]

18.) Almost finished, as i then connected up the dials too the dial unit connectors. then tucked them all behind where the cluster would be an fitted the dial cluster back in.

17072010265.jpg
[/IMG]

19.) Put the steering wheel console back on as it was taking off.

20.) Now re fit the dial surround an tighten the 2 screws up.

21.) Last bud not least put the steering wheel back on, do up all 6 off the allen key bolts.

22.) How it looks when its all finished

17072010266.jpg
[/IMG]

Heres som pics of it now night time has come, very happy with the results.
