Reset the ECU after new coil pack plugged in?

This is the second coil pack that I have tried. The car wont start when I plug coil pack in. But plug it into the one thats in there already and it does start.
Do I need to reset the ECU or anything for the car to start after new coil pack has been fitted?

resetting ecu just take efi fuse out, or diconnect battery, but really wouldnt think that is needed tbh.
so ur original coil playing up???

The igniter gets it's earth from the bulkhead so you need to bolt the new one in before the car will fire up.
