Rev problem

my rev limiter was supposed to limit at 7200 revs but after the rebuild the rev limiter just dissappeard

Is it a factory ECU or 1 of the JAM, Blitz ECUs etc
They have a higher rev limit

most likely the engine has no idea of its own electrical limits anymore. maybe take a VERY Very gentle look at the distributor. OR the tacho inside the cluster.

not saying ALL starlets do this, but i do know they reference tacho to the dash, when mine had revving issues, i figured it out by hunting around my wiring, havent got a clue what i fixed, but it made it better, loose wiring can be a pain. i would advise you check anything to do with that stuff, distributor, wiring and leads, grounds around the harness as well.
