Rust repair costs

in addtion to what you've planned, i'd suggest you have the entire car looked over and any additional rust sorted the same time...then respray the entire car...you never know what you will find with these type of repair jobs...then the entire car respray will help to keep one color as its sometimes very difficult to match the color with a partial respray

see how the costs compare for all the options

I wasn't planning on an entire respray however if the entire rear hatch has to be replaced it will most likely need to be done, I'll certainly be getting any rot tackled as there would little point doing all the work and still have the car disintegrate from missing areas

This is very quickly spiraling, why do we do this to ourselves

Does anybody know of any reproduction panels being made anywhere? I have called main dealers North and South and all the sills and panels are out of production and they have no old new stock (as expected really)

I emailed Amayama during the week, hopefully I hear back on Monday but I'm hoping for the best whilst preparing for the worst so looking for any and all alternatives that I could explore, anyone know of anywhere else?

Haven't seen any reproduction bits for the EP82 barring the aftermarket fibreglass stuff.

Good excuse to go full bore Livesports I reckon.. (STILL trying to justify to myself £600 for a set of front wings is a sensible purchase)

Car only went off road for fresh engine build but then look what we discovered SHOCKING thinkin it was just the the side sills that needed replacing.
I was ready to let go.... Luckily my friend stepped in and took over life saver.

Surely must be a way to get the shipping costs down? Have you ever looked into the cost of getting a crate shipped? I wonder if between members on here could get one filled, there are definitely some expensive bulky plastic bits that I have had my eyes on for some time. ahh but then all the hassle of organising etc maybe not hahaha

Try avaldi or taros trade I managed to get some ep91 stuff probably be custom fabrication I'm using front passenger arch lips to replace the drivers rear as it's almost identical minimal work required, also anyama had some inner arches I needed but was eye watering costs to bring them to UK it's working out cheaper to get them fabricated

GT has been a roller coaster ride... needs sum tlc then hopefully go on rollin road.

Hope Superman returns starbo2 bodywork needs attention that's another mission.

The sill I gave the welder the boy I got it of can't remember what it is either ffs

I cannot 100% remember but I think it is a fiesta. The good things about gts is the sills will be covered up with the body kit so don't have to be 110%.
