Sard analyse ecu

Hi,

Just want some advice as I've recently purchased a SARd analyse ecu for my EP91 off ebay. Is it as simple as plug it in and it will work or would I need to take it to a specialist? I've already taken off the glove box and can see the old standard ecu.

I have a few mods, hks induction kit, front mount intercooler and exhaust hks back box. Would it b a noticeable upgrade?

I take it your the one the beat me to it then :p that was a steal at that price :)

Just remove the standard ecu and plug in the sard one, although it is recommended to get it checked with a wideband to make sure it is fuelling etc OK.

Alot of people also recommend driving pretty sensible for first 100 odd miles, dont know if there is any truth in it though..

Plug in, let it idle up to operating temp, check/set timing. then drive as you normally would. In a few days it should figure where it is and the map will improve.

For safetys sake stick a wideband and det cans on for the maiden voyage in case it's doing damage. A local tuner should be able to check it over if you lack these.

It should fit nicely with your breathing modifications. I have one in my auto GT and it's a good job.

it works then... lol

ive own my new starlet for 3 weeks and just getting a full service and timing done but since getting it i've had a MPH copnverter on and well i don't know if it's still gona get that top speed limit and far do i have to rev before fuel cut? I must sound like a right newbie to this... >.<

If you've had a mph converter fitted you have changed the speed limiter there ;)
Fuel cut is determined by an excessive boost pressure, around 0.8-0.85 bar is where its at and you'll get EML on the dash.

So if I boot the car till limited would that light come on? Or bad idea to even go there?

If its the one i tested it should be genuine. Was the seller also from leicester? if so then i know exactlty where it came from and it will have 1 security sticker on the edge which has been opened!

yea thats the one, I noticed it only had one seal when I was bidding on it, and thought it was probably opened, but who cares, it works

I decided not to bid on this as the seal looked to be opened and the seller would not confirm, I hope it's alright for you however. :)

I asked the seller same question and it couldn't answer either said didn't understand what sticker.

I'm still waiting for the chap to drop it off but if sticker has been tampered with should I open and have a look inside? Someone mention there's supposed to b a daughter board on it? Altho I have read on here that someone has had a sard and no different compared to standard one? But has all the benifits?

Lol I missed this, yeah I won if off ebay but guy was supposed to meet me on Sunday but didn't show and mon i was out of town and ive txted him today but no reply. I had already taken my glove off off ready to plug it and make sure it actually works with my car before paying him. It is a genuine part just been opened to have a look?

The ecu is going back on ebay. I've been recommended not to use the ecu on my stock manifold as they have restrictions and can damage one of the pistons. Cant really afford manifold and fitting aswel as ecu. Should b back on ebay soon. Cheap buy tho. Wish I had an after market manifold and downpipe >.<

Fit it.

These are used on standard cars right up to heavily modified cars with little hassle. Seen enough of them over the years mate. Just do what I posted above and report back.

I wanted to just get some more boost without modding too much. Someone kept telling me 3rd runner on the manifold? Any sence to anyone? Lol my other car is Evo wit alot of boost >.<
