Sensor removal

alright guys got my new fmic through today going to fit it monday however obviously i will need to remove standard air box but i see there is a sensor on the pipework for the air box is it just ok to unplug it and do away with it? what is it actually doin cheers?

think he means the sensor that is on far left side of pipe before it drops down to turbo (on efi pipe) has that pipe on it

thats a air temp sensor ok to remove

So how does your ecu know how dense the air going into the intake is?

Do you know this would affect your fuelling and timing, and hense performance?

The car will still run without it yes, but is it right?

Which sensor are you talking about? The inlet air temp sensor is below (highlighted black) and wouldn't need to be removed when installing a FMIC??

that is what the map sensor is for


and where is that sensor located toby? never knew seen any sensors like that at the front my engine bay.
