Can you show me the shape you are referring to?

I'd go for a facelift model, so either an '06,'07 or '08. The '03-'05 model had a 5 speed box and a few issues that were reworked like VNT boost control issues, timing chains breaking, fuel heaters failing and also a few issues where the engine bay wire harness would wear through and short out on the clutch fluid reservoir bracket (although this was never deemed a concern so wasn't rectified :slap:). The '06-'08 model never appeared to suffer from any of the previous issues, came equipped with a 6 speed box which gave an improvement in fuel economy and was also given a few updated interior and exterior trim panels. The double wishbone suspension up front gives good feedback and performs well, allowing remarkable cornering capability and at the same time soaking up every bump the average road can throw at it.

The CN152 is the diesel sport model (fitted with Honda's own N22A1 2.2ltr 16v i-CTDi (Intelligent Commonrail Turbocharged Direct injection) engine with a Garrett GT1752v Turbo). They can be identified by the chassis number (it's riveted to the dash and visible in the bottom left corner of the windscreen). You would need to look for a chassis number starting with JHMCN1520 and then a 6, 7 or 8 depending on the year of manufacture, then followed by the build serial number.

Stock output is but not limited to around 140hp/345nm and returns an easy average of 55mpg.

Honda began developing its own diesel engine with Kenichi Nagahiro, the company’s chief engine designer and the inventor of the celebrated VTEC engine. Nagahiro hated diesel engines – he thought they were noisy, smelly and dirty.

When asked to design Honda’s first diesel he flatly refused – unless he was allowed to start completely from scratch. The result is one of the cleanest, most refined diesel engines on the market today, the 2.2 i-CTDi.

I'd definitely add the Accord to the 'try before you buy' list before buying anything built in Europe.

Been looking at 330 CD. 0-60 = 7 sec. Insurance group 16 is not too bad.
Almost twice the money though.

The Mrs recently got an audi a2 tdi.

Aluminium body, huge cabin space for the size of the car, 65mpg on the combined cycle and £35 a year road tax!

We got a really nice example for £3700

For a daily drive, id far sooner have a diesel over a petrol. Find them far more drivable with plenty of mid range torque. Sure its nice to have a blast in the glanza of a weekend but it would do my head in daily.

I ran a Golf GT TDi for 18 months, was spot on for the job enough grunt to get on and past stuff yet id see 50-60mpg.

The 220d isn't bad, but I find the clutch to be little heavy for my liking. It's a shame Toyota don't build one with an auto box.

mmm,do they give much bothr in general terry?you work with lexus dont you?
its a pity they dont come in the lovely isf blue colour.:(
