The previous owner to me had very well looked after the car and he was shocked when he heard. I feel really bad now for letting such a great car get ruined. He's already talking bout getting a 180sx next year.

Was delighted when his insurance renewal came back at £1200 lol, thats wat he gets from going from TDI Bora to Glanza.

yea i had a mate who give waay too much for a 1.4 golf and spent half that amount again "doin it up". over two years he spent ridiculous amounts of money on ridiculous shite like bodykits, three sets of wheels, loud exhaust blah blah blah. i kept suggesting he at least change the oil, but he (a tile salesman) knew better than me (a mechanic)... one night i get this phonecall "me cars makin a bangin noise", no shit sherlock, dont drive it... he drove it and was left with a 25grand garden ornament!

Only of the car before all the work was done so looks different now as front bumper has been cut for fmic and new exhausts system.

Ye nice wheels but the £400 he spent on these without tyres and needing refurbd were meant to be speant on brake upgrades.

Anyone who talks like that is generally a bit of a prick anyway. I know a few people that frequently want advice but never listen, i think they just want to see if they're right and if not, they'll do it anyway. As said just leave them to it!

He must think i was joking the dig i had at him cause last night the gf answered the fone to him, he was wondering would i be about town last night could i bring spark plug remover with me as his car was spluttering prob cause he got water down the plugs again. She just said no chance, child has school in morning and Jay couldn't be bothered.

real shame to hear of stuff like this man.

ur Mrs was telling me about this Glanza at the ECC rolling road day there at the end of the summer, and from what she told me mate it sounded truly mint! but as u say, probably wouldnt want it back now!

as Dylan says, so long as ur GT and the Liner are rolling well man, then thats the main thing. some folk just cant be told.

Phil.

Ah Phil i feel really bad for letting that car go on her, but at least she got the Skyline to look at everyday even if she's afraid of it lol.

GT passed mot last week but getting a bad rattle from ps now, think driveshaft could be buggered :(

I think he want's to do everything his way, because he "knows" better!

May be he doesn't trust you? and trust those guys? and those brakes are perfectly fine for him?

He is lucky to have a mechanic, as I've been struggling to find one, even went to TM Dev (what a great reputation he's got :-( ), it was a rip off and the answer that I have an excessive boost pressure, because my car is an automatic!!!! Great answer, please pay now j100 + 4% credit card charge + no invoice or receipt given! (Later found myself that the mani is cracked and that was causing an error 34!).

And then again - Knight Racers in MK - could not fit the manifold properly - had to pay DOUBLE the price of fitting the mani and getting a new gasket!

Sva Imports - an utter shite, absolutely fucked caliper - which barely spins one turn on the rear and worn out pads in 2 months (ON THE REAR) - looked fine for them! Not to mention j165 for AN OIL CHANGE SERVICE, and nor the filter nor the oil is the Original Toyota!

Even the garage in Rugby, which was recommended by Danny, did a great job on Exhaust, but could NOT change the filter, as they had no special tools for it! So he spent an hour and couldn't take the filter off.

So I found for myself that it's not that easy to find a good mechanic, especially if he is your friend and you can trust him!
