recently got an engine running that was sold as a runner - apart rom the fact that the cambelt had slipped about an inch everything looked ok - so the cambelt was replaced and engine re-timed,
so when it was started it sucked in the rad pipe flat (samco - so quite a bit of force) and all the water straight out of the rad and through the engine blowing it all out of the cylinders aswell as a bit of oil.
now am i right in thinking that even if a water pipe was connected incorrectly to the tb then it still wouldnt even run and even if it did run it wouldnt create so much pressure as to suck a samco hose flat ??
i am 99% sure that no water is running to the tb as i blocked them all off to avoid this issue but in experience of having done it before - the car doesnt even start
let me know what you think
