Snapped a shock spring... opinions

no wouldnt cause that proplem, but it is good practice to have them fitted because without them the shock wont last long from the dirt and grit.

Yeah i thought that. But where the clamps are holding the spring in place, when i go to put them onto the shock, they dont slip over the covers as the clamp feet are in the way. dont know how to get round this.

Ive just ordered a new top strut. Gonna try that 1st as i think its whats making the noise. Bushes keep bobbing up and down, think they shouldnt move like they are. Will report back once ive fitted it.
