dunc, could you poss send me some details on what you have used too get the air filter there. im looking too do myn in the same position instead of behing grill, but no idea what pipes etc too get lol

Side exit was cool, but what I'm going to have will be better. Aint anything special mate, just a 90 degree silicon into a 2" bit of pipe with a 90 degree at the end with a k&n filter boshed on the end

is that mani and downpipe braced?...if not, i'd recommend doing so

mani isnt braced. spoke to a bloke at work who does welding and fabrication and he said it wouldnt do anything, just hold it together if it did crack.

the downpipe is braced, you can just see the brace in the second pic, its bolted to the gearbox

its all done apart from the exhaust. had to postpone working on it for a short while due to the girlfriend getting a new car and me needing to get her old car sorted for sale. its not far off now though, just the exhaust left to fabricate.

once the de cat is braced ull have no problems at all, looking very well, simoniz high temp spray paint on the head and rocker cover?

Mate, the intercooler piping is superb

Does the R5 intercooler allow for easy access to other areas of the engine bay? One of my favourite mods for the ep is just the simple half rad as it allows easier access to the turbo and oil filter etc

It takes me so long designing it all for that reason. I can access the actuator and the oil filter easily. It sits forward enough to be clear of everything, but far enough back so I don't have to cut or mod too much

Top job but wondering about intercooler pipes air velocity will that be effected much by the 's' shaped pipes I guess you have allowed for that ?

hi dac where did you get that rad from , also has this made any differance to tempeture as small could tell me where i could find a rad like that one you have and how much soory to ask but like you said a loy easier to work around can this handle alot ..

I will admit, the ic piping probably isn't perfect for max power, but I was going for the super neat sleeper look. Its not that bad in all honesty, shouldn't be a problem!

The rad is just an ebay civic alloy rad! The intercooler is a modified ebay alloy high capacity renault 5 turbo one

Fair enough some times these things only make a small difference and looks like you have power enough to spare. Will look forward to seeing the final result.
