Wellllllll.... Who made it down to the record breaking night? ive heard figures of 43-48000 fans turned up?
My good buddy bought me a ticket in return for driving him down and returning him home after, as 30000 people took public trasport apparently - it was a total gift getting parked and there was a £5 reserved parking service too which was far too much of a bargain not to take up!
we were there in time to see Band of horses, the totally utterly amazing Lisa Hannigan, and none other than SP themselves!
Ill be honest here - im a hiphop/dance fan... Snow patrol generally dont figureon my radar, im familiar with their stuff, but its never been my first choice to play while chillaxing in the house, but seriously WOW
what a performance! Lightbody gave it everything, including dedicating a song to his little 3 year old niece who was there, and also 'run' to his mum and dad for never giving up on him. When the crowd took over on Run, he stopped singing and said thankyou to the crowd for singing their hearts out. Ive no voice today.
I went in order to hear Lisa Hannigan, and boy she didnt dissappoint!
I managed to get these on my blackberry from about 20 odd foot from the stage
sorry they are blurry but I was getting carried about in the crowd and I only had my blackberry lol!
some epic crowd surfing and beachball went on too lol
who else went? did you enjoy it?
