he has converted to a DIS distributor less setup that is why the stock rev counter wont work

the stock rev counter omly works wit a single coil setup (stock)
so the stock rev counter will work with MS

ic... thanks :) il get some $$ and order the unit plus the harness... anything else you recomend that i get?

guys, i haven't been on in a while as i've sold the starlet and gone subaru. about the MS the fast idle valve or ICV to the left of the manifold can still be used, MS has provisions for it and once properly tuned it can really improve the driveability of the car.

my cousin is running a ford MSD coil on his car and MSD DIS 2 ignition with the megasquirt and has full tach functionality without a tac adapter

on my starlet my MS was installed onto the harness of a destroyed ep ecu so it was plug and play, all the stock sensors were retained with only an additional vacuum being ran to the onboard ms map sensor

so you mean using both the map sensor built in and the OEM one? or only the built in one?

you have a map we can try out? at least a startup map!! :) or any other information that you think would help us! for example if you have a diagram of the wires from the MS to the stock ecu plug.. as thats what im gonna do.
