speed limiter

Hello to everyone!!!
I own a '99 Glanza V and i want to know if is there a speed limiter on the factory ECU???
i know most japanese cars have but i didn't understand really if i hit the limiter in mine... If it has at what speed is it set and how i would i notice it....????

they are normally at 185 190klm and it will just cut power in a bang

yes, 180kph (112mph).

It will stop accelerating, like a rev limiter, but wont bounce like the rev limiter does.

i 've past 180kph and nothing happened...this means that i don't have limiter??

Check for an aftermarket ecu or a SLD, you might be lucky enough to have an aftermarket ecu

my boxy dont giv the limiter til over 190 so keep trying haha..

my car was automatic before but the previous owner converted it to manual, but i am still running auto ECU... does it make any difference???

Speedos are about 10% out, you would need to be over 120mph on the clock for it to kick in probably.
