Speedo not working from 0-20kmh

Hi All,

I have noticed a weird problem with my 1996 Glanza V, the speedo does not appear to work until it reaches over 20kmh then it the speedo jumps up... what could that be?

Check the earth on the inlet/idle cover valve is tight.

More likely to be a speedo cable or drive problem though. Check that the speedo cable is fitted correctly at the gearbox, if you've got a speedo converter also check that's installed correctly. It's quite easy to cross thread the cable fitting which will cause the speedo reading to jump.

is it just not registering until you reach 20 or is it 20 behind if you get me like your doing 40 but its only reading 20?
