steering wheel adjuster keeps coming lose?

As above. I had wedge a bit of foam in behind it and the steering wheel which helped for a while and now the foam softened up it keeps coming loose and when ypur sending it on and it the steering wheel is moving up and down it obviously no good lol. Any idea how to fix it

It's been a while since I looked at a steering column in detail but if I remember at the weekend I'll have a scan at one mate.

Had a quick glance just now. Looks like the handle is secured with two nuts which may have come loose.

Those might just need tightened up hopefully.
