whats a dumbwell mate? or did u mean dumbbell? im not knowin all the names of everythin very well lol. just to clarify i do sets of 10 with 40kg on the bicep curl machine (like using a bar, so both arms) so more or less should be the equivalent of 18-20kg dumbbells in each hand.

not really, free weights are quite different due to not following a set path when you lift them like on a machine, but kudos anyway :) :)

Some people are getting confused between sets and reps, billybob, richglanzav, etc.

Anyway, for anyone thinking of getting into weight lifting, bodybuilding. It's not about the weight you lift, that's like throwing about horsepower figures. It's about how you lift it, and how you can develop your body (experience).

I can lift more than most in here, less than others going from the 'e-figures', however I would guess that just because you can throw some weight around doesn't mean your body actually looks good ;)

I was 88KG last year, this year I am 82KG, lifting less and looking far better :)

I sense.. ROID RAGE!

Anyways. What's everyone's max bench?

steroids or no steroids everyone has rage in them although i know your only joking.

I benched 130kg 3 weeks ago although like luke said its like throwing horsepower about. I am a bodybuilder rather than a power lifter so a awesome bench is not what i want to have week in week out.

dam! there's some monster figures here!

I only do a bit at home but i'm skinny though lol I'm doing 50kg bench press, 3sets of 8 and 30kg curls on the ez bar, again 3sets of 8.

I've tried all sorts of protein shakes etc and i eat shit loads of stuff (lots of protein) all the time and dont put on any weight, so frustrating :(

you can tell when your training at other people where they have just gone for big weights and shite form by the way they're built, when i started i trained for about 2 months on the lightest weight possible to keep on practising my form looked like at puff at the time but hell it worked out better in the end.

Taking your time whislt doing your reps aswell is a must, like people know just because you can lift heavy weights doesnt make you strong and alternating your routines will always keep you body on its toes.

Legs is another one your must train as all your biggest veins are in their, it increases blood flow and testosterone, so train your legs most people forget or neglect them.

Being short can also be an advantage aswell with having a lower centre of gravity being 5ft 4 like meself can sometimes be a bonus lol, im at my strongest at the moment like said before in my previous post im also standing arm curl 22's, lat pull down 85kg and shoulder press 32's (working on me shoulders there my weak point) and im putting it down to training in the morning it is working wonders for me and i've dropped down to 12st from 13.5st coupled with dieting its great plus im so energetic at the moment, i go running on the evening do about 3/4 miles a day. The knock on effect is you'll eat like a horse training weights in morning and running on the evening.

On the subject ive never done steroids and i dont have a problem doing them its there choice whether they take um or not, who am i to judge its there life.

I did creatine once it turned me loopy, turned me into a right 2 can van dam, used to do protein but dont bother anymore.
Dont do any supplements anymore never benefitted from them brought all the best ones on the market just made me bloated and shit and fart all the time.

5 years of hard training injury free and still loving it:)

I've not used steriods but often thought about it was I'm one of them guys that eat's what ever the hell I like and I gain litrally no weight, I doubled my calorie intake from 2500 to around 4500 a day and still nothing, anything I gained would be gone the time I got up so I looked in to steriods just never really got in to it the end... and since I got some dodgy vein in my nads weight tranning really messes it up and makes sex painful!

thats aload of shite your taking in there tho, cheese is shite, full fat milk is ok, but thats a bit much.

nuts in moderation full of good natural fats, lots of veg, protein from any meat beef, pork, chicken, turkey.

Full fat milk is better than semi or skimmed milk as they're processed to the hills to extra the fat away so bt the time it reachs the bottle all the goodness has been taken away.

Same with eggs buy organic they fed higher quality feed, cus with eggs you eat what they eat.

you should eat more carbs mate, pasta's ect. & the smaller you are the bigger you will lift due 2 lower center of gravity
