iM LOOKING AT GETTING THIS SUBARU AS A TRACK CAR (CHEAP)

Does anything look particularly wrong with this engine bay?

Im new to subaru's and I know quite a few people on here have them.

Is there any thing wrong with these pics?

AND ALSO WHAT SHOULD I LOOK AND LISTEN FOR WHEN BUYING ONE?

Looks fine to me. Which model is it?

Looks fine to me, looks like a version 3 or 4 by the size of the intercooler.

No mods for a track car.

Check the rocker covers there prone to leaking, make sure the timing belts been done, turbo boosting properly, bottom end rattle. Keep the stock air box as the mafs extremly weak other than that usual stuff

Check for oil leaks and smoke (turbo)
Also find out when the timing belt was changed (expensive kit) to replace and labour.

Easy on subaru's can get it done for under £200 supplied and fitted

thats just the belt, not the tensioners and pulleys aswell, the belt kit that includes all the tensioners etc is £200 on it's own

Agreed my old bay was never anything special hence i always kept it shut lol

Miss mine so so much even talking about it makes me want another one
