sump gasket?

Sump is getting a little oily now so time to renew the gasket while its tucked up in the garage.

Just thought i would ask before crawling under the car but is there a pre-made gasket or is it the same case as most cars where you get the gasket sealant out and do it your self?

Thanks,
James.

Sealant, there are a few threads about doing it properly, including a Toyota workshop manual guide that Texx posted.

Cheers guys, thanks for all your help.

The gasket will work out as over £30 posted so will probably use some sealant.

Any good sealants that you would recommend?

Thanks.

I have always been using this.
When doing a 4E sump you need to scrub all surfaces clean with steel wool or something similar.
Then clean sealing surfaces with thinners and cloth.
And then put a worm all around on the sump surface of about 7mm thick and do not spread flat with your finger.
Then plonk it on and tighten. :)
